~~~About Margaret Futerer~~~
Margaret was born in a secluded community in Montana that openly practiced polygamy.  Her parents converted to the Fundamentalist Mormon way of life, shortly before she was born.
Margaret speaks about growing up in Polygamy. As a little girl Margaret was never exposed to the outside world. She was taught that sole purpose for her existence was to get married and give her husband as many children and other wives as he felt necessary.  While boys were learning to drive and learning a life skill, Margaret was learning to clean and knit.  She was told that she was not of value. She did not need an education, did not need to drive, and must do everything she was told by the male members of the society.  Men were representatives of God, while women and children were servants of men.  Margaret suffered years of sexual, physical and emotional abuse - tolerated and overlooked by a community that should have protected her.
From the time Margaret was very young she knew she did not want the life she was destined for.   She wasn't afraid of competition, and believed in her soul that she was just as intelligent and capable as any boy, and that her life should serve a greater purpose.  Her spirited personality ostracized her in the community.  In her refusal to conform she left home at the age of seventeen and began the road to emotional freedom and personal success.
Refusing to accept the limitations others have attempted to set for her, and despite her lack of education, she has soared ahead in business.  Never afraid of taking risks she has owned and operated several successful companies.
It is now her passion and life's purpose to teach others what she has learned through her life experiences.  She created Magnificent Women to inspire other women to liberate themselves from the past and discover their inner magnificence.
Margaret volunteers her time as a Peer Councilor and Elementary School Docent with Beach Cities Health District and is the President of Agape Toastmasters.  She has been featured on Fox LA News, The Los Angeles Times and other local publications.
